DIY 2:Makeup Removing Wipes Using Coconut Oil by Merit VCO

Hi My Lovely Readers,

All these years we have been using Coconut oil extensively on hair, skin and even for cooking purpose. May be coconut oil has become one of the integral part of our hair care  or skin care routine. But all these years we haven’t checked whether the coconut oil we are using is pure or not.Today I will be sharing a review as well as a DIY using a Coconut oil which is very pure and also gives you 100% results.

I have started a DIY WEEK where in I will be posting each day a DIY for 5days using Coconut Oil from a brand called Merit VCO.

Please refer the previous DIY post here:

About the Brand: Excel Combines(Merit VCO)  is an Indian Brand which produces purest form of oils like Coconut oil, Almond oil, Kalonji oil and Walnut oil. These oils are extra virgin and cold pressed. They are 100% pure and does not produce any side effects.

Packaging & Texture:

It comes in a plastic transparent bottle and a white twistable cap which will be sealed so that there is no tampering and also keeping it safe. The oil looks like water and feels very light and is not heavy or sticky like other oils in the market. The oil is extracted from fine quality tender coconuts which makes it pure and also edible which can be used for Cooking. It doesnt give you that strong smell like any other coconut oil. It has a very mild coconuty smell which is a good part.

You can use only Coconut oil to remove your make up , but the only issue I faced was ,it gets too oily on my skin which becomes little bit difficult to remove, or I need to wash my face twice which I felt not good to my skin as this will make my skin very dry. This DIY helps you to make makeup removing pads at home which are affordable, helps you remove even oil makeup completely and also leaves your skin well hydrated.

  • Jar
  • Cotton Pads
  • 1 1/2 – 2 Tablespoons of Coconut Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon of Baby Shampoo
  • Distilled Water
  • 2-4 Drops of essential oil(Optional)

  • Place cotton pads in the glass jar.
  • In a small bowl mix the fractional coconut oil and baby shampoo together.
  • Pour mixture over cotton pads.
  • Press down on the pads so the soap and coconut oil evenly absorb into them.
  • Pour distilled water over pads, just enough wet the pads.
  • Place the lid on the jar and shake (this helps to evenly distribute the liquid over the pads).

How To Use:

Use one pad at a time to remove makeup from your face. Dispose the pad after use. Keep the lid on the jar to prevent the pads from drying out.

My Experience:

I have been using these make up remover pads from long time, I must say it really removes all traces of make up including gel liner, liquid lipsticks without drying out my skin. The best part about these makeup pads is that, they are affordable, safe for skin, suits all skin types and free from all chemicals.Since the oil is not heavy it wont make your skin sticky which is a good part. These pads not only removes all traces of moves also gives you that moisture unlike other make up removers dry out your skin.
